In order to optimize the quality of Artmann piano continuously, thanks to the trust and support of general Artmann piano lovers as well as provide customers with better products and services, at the time when the new year is approaching, Shanghai Artmann Piano Co., Ltd has completed the upgrade of all Artmann pianos! Compared with the pre-upgrade pianos, the newly upgraded pianos have been greatly improved in the material selection, performance and configuration. Please check the details as follow:
1. Action
The action is the heart of the piano. Solid wood action is selected by Artmann to make the piano stronger & more durable all the time. During the just-concluded piano update, we select the enhanced solid wood action to make it even better. Compared with normal action, there's also an aluminium alloy protective cover on hammer rail. Solid wood could avoid transformation and cracking while aluminium alloy works effectively in preventing dust, fire, moisture and infestation. As a result, the action will be much stronger and durable so that serves as potent support for many different kinds of tasks, situations and contexts.

2. Hammer
Pre-upgrade Artmann pianos adopt red maple solid wood hammers and German FFW felt uniformly. After the updating, we employ stepwise refinement configuration according to the different market positioning of the pianos: low-end pianos use the American imported high quality red wood hammers which takes Australian pure wool as felt, combined with the European traditional felting process of cleaning, screening , washing, milling and pressing, making hammers more solid and powerful; mid-end pianos use American imported Raymen hammers; high-end pianos use world-top German Abel or Renner hammers. All the new selected hammers have much better density and hardness, thus bring the piano with much brighter and expressive timbre.

3. Keyboard
All artmann pianos have taken 100% pure solid wood piano keys to bring the piano extremely soft touch feeling and prevent deformation. Counter poise balancing leaded technique is applied to the keyboard: every single key has passed the test in particular to get the same weight, making sure there’s no weight loss during the transition process from finger tips to hammers and stings. After the update, high-end Artmann pianos will use pure ebony wood as the black keys to make it more beautiful and luxurious.

4. Slow Fall Device
Hydraulic slow fall device could protect the player's fingers effectively, especially for the children, preventing any hurt on the hands as well as other parts of the pianos from the sudden fall of the front door. After the update, except Artmann UP121A upright piano, all other Artmann pianos will be equipped with slow fall device despite of the models. However, we still offer customized install service of the slow fall device for UP121A upright piano according to the needs of customers.
5. Soundboard and Back Posts
Soundboard of all Artmann pianos are fitted with the top quality spruce originated from Europe which gets fully indoor dry processing for over a year, passes through strict tests about dryness, humidity and temperature. It ensures the flexibility and resonance of the sound board which is responsible for a top quality sound. As for the back posts, we use only strong solid wood posts to support the cast-iron frame. Now, all Artmann pianos, regardless of models and sizes, have 6 back posts in non-isometric arrangement to offer stronger support evenly for the great tension of piano strings together with the back frame. Sound of the piano will be more stable, the piano will be more durable.
